New York State College of Veterinary Medicine - The College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University was founded in 1894 as the first statutory college in New York. Before the creation of the college, instruction in veterinary medicine had been part of Cornell's curriculum since the university's founding.

The tradition is largely a winning one, punctuated by the only perfect season of the modern era, a 29-0 mark in the 19691970 season. Started on a frozen pond in 1900, Cornell hockey was revitalized in the late 1950s with the completion of the campus's first indoor facility, Lynah Rink.
